The Aliwan Festival, dubbed as the “Mother of all Fiestas” is back this April! This annual event showcases the winners from the most famous and favorite festivals in the Philippines.
I watched the streedance contest for the first time last year and while I admired how professional all the
participants were, I was really amazed by how serious and fierce the competition was.
Each group was a joy to watch and I couldn’t help but to respect all the participants for the enormous amount of hardships and dedication that they put in their presentations to come up with really strong and amazing entries.
Last year’s winner for the streetdancing competition was Tribu Paghidaet of Dinagyang Festival, Iloilo City. I’m excited to see what they have prepared this year and if they could surpass their previous performance.
This year’s Aliwan Festival is scheduled on the 14th to the 16th of April. The Grand Parade will start at the Quirino Grandstand, will pass along Roxas Boulevard, then make its way to the area fronting the Aliw Theater at the CCP Complex where the final showdown would take place.

it usually happens on the last day 🙂
I’m torn between Aliwan Festival and Bagasbas Summer Surf Festival. Unfortunately pumasok sa inclusive dates ng surf festival yung Aliwan 🙁
that’s tough! I would have a hard time choosing too if i were in your situation 🙁 i hope you”d find a way to attend both. well, if not, i’m sure whatever you choose, you’d have a great time 🙂
