The room was basic but spacious, no water heater but we survived. Very affordable too. The place is conveniently located where there are nearby restaurants, resorts, the bus can drop you off in front of this place actually. The common areas are so welcoming that it’s easy to meet so many people, as many locals as foreigners. We spent very nice nights sharing meals, playing game, singing, playing music. We loved the way the hostel is made, with recycled materials, and the dorms which are very open on the outside but protected from the insects thanks to mosquito nets on the beds. Guest Reviews: We booked an 8-bedroom dorm and it was pretty decent for a hostel. I loved the spacious garden outside the building the most. I’m not fond of hostels since I don’t really like the concept of shared bathrooms but the shared toilet/showers were quite clean so it was fine with me. The hostel is also in a good location. One main issue I had was that the key card was malfunctioning. The lock on our door jammed a few times and I even got locked inside our room. We had to have our key reactivated and it was a hassle since the staff weren’t exactly friendly. Overall, don’t expect any facilities and stellar service. The whole place was very clean and our dorm room had the comfiest hostel beds I have ever stayed in! Each bunk had a curtain for privacy, a light, and plugs. OH AND THE MATTRESSES… wowweee. Guest Reviews: If you are looking for a quick and easy drive away from the city. I would definitely recommend Urbiz Garden. It’s only 6 hours away from Manila and it will give you that chill vibe that you need when taking a break from the city. We booked one of their Cabanas and had total privacy. Guest Reviews: Been travelling to La Union almost every month for sometime now and have stayed in a few hotels in the area and I could say that Villas Buenavista is a good option. Not that luxurious but comfortable, clean, and relatively new. One of the few resorts with a pool and with a beachfront. Breakfast is good too. The staff are courteous and accommodating.
